Ever since I read (listened to) the Sweet Potato Queens Book of Love, I have been dying to try Pig Candy. Well, luckily, I got to try it out first hand at the SPQ Million Queen March Weekend......it was everything I had dreamed it would be. While reading (and listening to, just because it's soooo much more entertaining hearing it all in HRH Queen Boss Jill's own voice) the Sweet Potato Queens Big Ass Cookbook and Financial Planner, I came up with the clever idea of doing a blog just like Julie Powell did with the Julia Childs recipes. So here we go.....follow my progress as I attempt to whip up each of the tried, true and tested recipes loved by the SPQ.

Mimi's Butterfinger Cookies

You know what's great about waking up at 4am and not being able to go back to sleep?
There is nothing else to do but bake cookies!
Yep, you heard me right - I whipped up a batch of Mimi's Butterfinger Cookies......another recipe from the Sweet Potato Queens Big Ass Cookbook and Financial Planner. This recipe can also be found in the Sweet Potato Queens Book of Love and if you have never read any of the SPQ books I would highly recommend you start with the Book of Love.
Oooooo these cookies were sooooo yummy warm! It's pretty much a peanut butter cookie with lots of crushed up Butterfinger candy bars in it.......Oh, Bart Simpson would be proud!
I'm now gonna indulge in this entire plate of cookies until I'm induced in a sugar coma - this way I'll be able to catch up on all of that beauty sleep I lost.
